My chance working with Andy Warhol as a fashion model, assignments ranging from polaroids and lastly his first and only music video “Hello Again” in 1986, changed my life. Inspiration led me to different career, taking basic darkroom classes at 93 street Uptown ICP and at the New School for silkscreens.
Traveling and photography gave me opportunity in life to explore different cultures with my camera. My everyday life was to cultivate every experience which permit my imagination to challenge circumstance and to liberate my desire as a self taught photographer.
I consider myself an eager artist. My photos are what I see or support and what I feel connected to in most of my personal projects.Using tradition style and DIY- abstract photogram, playing different genre and themes focused mainly on: portraits, women’s identity, environment through the lens on photography. Abstract geometric forms are few of my yearly seasonal common activities such as drawings and creating sculptures
Inspired by Chinese culture of the performing arts of Chinese Opera growing up. As a self taught photographer, my aim is to use it as an introduction towards analog photography in portraits bringing the East (Chinese Opera ) and later Western cultures. (European Opera)
Both books took years traveling to different parts of the world to complete the visuals.
