Chinese American artist, born in Malaysia,

I grew up with a single mom, I found my way to New York City as a fashion model, the vibrant energy of the late 80’s—an artists haven where diverse artists from different backgrounds and class interacted. With no mentor, I embark on a journey of self discovery beginning with darkroom classes in platinum-palladium to silkscreen learning photographic medium. Having published two portraits photography books of East and Western opera. A self taught artist, my camera confront various works exploring through the lens across time that reflect different chapters in life, challenging space and work environments. My personal works generate unexpected photographic genres collective—from women’s culture, environment, nature, abstract still-life includes surrealist mixed photo-montage and sculpture works.
